Aimee’s Photography

 

My name is Aimee I am 20 years old and live in Kerikeri. I was born in Hanmer Springs a small town in the South Island of NZ.

 

I have had a passion for photography since the age of 14 when I got my first camera a Nikon Coolpix p510. From there my journey into photography began, I started out just capturing objects and landscapes that caught my eye. I have now outgrown that camera and have moved on to a Canon EOS 700d. 

 

I now love taking photos of New Zealand’s beautiful landscape and the wildlife. I have been interested in wildlife since I can remember and capturing it just makes it that much more special, seeing wildlife in their natural habitat but being able to capture them from a distance is truly amazing!! 

I enjoy the challenge of seeing the image I would like to capture in my mind and trying to make that imagine come to life.

 

I have been struggling with a condition called trigeminal neuralgia over the past 5 years and it has really taken its toll on me both physically and mentally. Photography has been something that has kept me going and given me something else to focus my attention on, I feel it has really helped me through my healing journey.
